A lot of people are too busy in the morning to wash their hair. By the time it takes you to wash it and blow dry it, you’ve easily lost 30 minutes or more. That’s not to mention brushing and styling it afterwards. This process becomes exhausting to do time and time again.

The other side of it is that you don’t wash your hair. The problem with that is that it won’t look fresh and will smell like the party you went to the night before. I can go in to any crowd of people and pick out which ones haven’t washed their hair in at least a day. Some people don’t wash their hair for several days which can be quite repulsive. What is there something we can do to shorten the time it takes to wash our hair?

The answer is yes. There is a not so well known product that is called “dry shampoo.” Dry shampoo is a powder that you can apply to your hair on days you just don’t have time to do a regular washing. One of the great things about it is that it will absorb oils, dirt, and help remove the bad smell unwashed hair can have. Many of them will even help give you hair a bit of bounce and volume just as if you had washed your hair.

Dry washing your hair takes literally less than 5 minutes from start to finish. I like to shake out a small amount in to the middle of my scalp and work it outwards. After that, give it a comb and I’m done. It will definitely help save on time but also on water, electricity, and other hair washing and styling products. This is not to say that you should just forget washing and use this. You should use this in those tight situations where you’re running behind. Another great thing is that you help reduce the amount of damage you cause your hair by all of the wet chemicals and blow drying.

I don’t think anyone will know that you washed your hair with a dry shampoo. It is almost impossible to tell by an untrained eye. The only problem currently is that is new and not that mainstream yet. Some companies call it waterless shampoo, powder shampoo, and some other non technical terms.
